The Society exists to recreate life and combat as it may have been in 12th & 13th Century England and Wales and to give audiences a better understanding of the weapons, history and politics of the era.
All members of the Society are historical enthusiasts and give freely of their time to appear in shows and pageants at historical sites throughout the British Isles. Many of the members have also wielded arms on the television and big screen as extras inHistorical and Myth-and-Magic movies (more recently First Knight, Prince Valiant and Merlin) and in many educational/documentary programmes.
The Society has recently started a specialist 'living history' and education venture to complement the well-established combat displays: this allows the Society to adapt to almost any combination of demands that sponsors of our shows require. The same level of commitment and expertise is available to organisers of commercial events.
